Twisted and welded hot junction with leads stripped at cold end

Extensions wire a thermocouple to an instrument.  Types J and K extensions have 20 gage, stranded, fiberglass insulated wire, Type T, E, and RX/SX are 20 gage, solid, with fiberglass insulation.
