Cast Iron Weatherproof Heads
Thermocouple Heads provide means for making the connection between thermocouple and extension wire and protect the connection against corrosion, abrasion or breakage caused by handling. Thermocouple Heads are easy to install and are convenient for checking purposes.
General Purpose Heads
General Purpose Heads available in aluminium or cast iron, these thermocouple heads are superior in durability and convenience. A quick-acting tempered wire clamp holds the molded cover tightly against a gasket, making a positive seal.
Single Terminal Block
Molded from high temperature procelain, these single element terminals blocks can be furnished in both the general purpose head and the weatherproof head. The brass terminal blocks are surrounded by porcelain to prevent shorts. The number 8 connection screws trap the lead wire between the corner of the block and the screw to make a good connection without the necessessity of making a wire loop or sharp right angle bend.
Duplex Terminal Block
Porcelain duplex terminal block provides connections for two sets of thermocouple and lead wire of 14 gauge and smaller. Brass terminal blocks minimize temperature gradient between connections. Polarity is indicated by raised characters on the block.
Plastic Weatherproof Heads
Open Ceramic Head
Laboratory Heads
These heads, generally for platinum thermocouples, are ideally suited for laboratory and many process applications. External binding posts with knurled thumb nut permit rapid change of lead wires for test purposes. Attractively finished in black wrinkle enamel.
Miniature Connecting Head
The natural finish aluminium head is drilled to receive a 1/8" NPT fitting or protecting tube through which the Thermocouple wires are run to make a solder connection with the lead wire binding screw posts. The cover is attached to the head by means of two set screws.
Quick Disconnect Plugs and Jacks
Quick disconnect plugs and jacks are molded glass-filled plastic with the attaching parts made of the particular thermocouple calibration material. Made to exacting specifications, these units provide rapid connection or disconnection between thermocouple and lead wire with negligible contact resistance for transmission of the lowest milivoltages. Frequent make-or break will not impair the accuracy of the mating parts. They are ideally suited for laboratory or industrial uses where the ambient temperature does not exceed 205°C.
Dual Extension Bracket
Miniature Plugs & Jacks
Cable Clamp and Tube Adaptor
These parts are attached to either Plug or Jack with screws provided. Tube adaptor uses a compression fitting to make rigid connection with tube. This rigid connection prevents twisting the wires.
High Temperature Quick Disconnect Plugs & Jacks
Rated to 425°continuously with short term rating to 540°C. The Plug and jack body is a glass filled silicone resin. Negative pin and insert are larger for polarization.
5 Unit Jack Panel
This is a single unit, five outlet, phenolic plastic jack. It can be mounted in a standard electrical conduit box (Type FS or FD). Panels can be connected to make a large panel with electrical conduit gang boxes. Contacts are of thermocouple calibration material and of standard size to accept the Quick Disconnect Plug.
