The adjustable bayonet lock attachment may be fitted over any 1/8 or 1/16 inch od plain-end thermocouple and adjusted to the selection immersion depth by tightening the compression fitting. The compression fitting has both a nylon and brass ferrule. The nylon ferrule permits readjustment, but should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 120°C. The brass ferrule may not be readjusted after set. It is suitable for temperatures up to 480°C

Thermocouple Installation instructions

    1. Drill to immersion depth
    2. If adapter is less than 1-5/8" long, counter before the hole with a 9/32" drill to a depth of (1-5/8" minus adapter length)
    3. Tap open end of adapter well for the adapter being used.
    4. Screw adapter into well
    5. Insert thermocouple through adapter into well until it bottoms.
    6. Press down on bayonet cap so that it slips over top of adapter, slot in cap must be positioned over the locking pin on the adapter.
    7. Twist bayonet cap so that it locks over pin on adapter
