Occasionally a thermocouple user does not want the flexible Y length offered with other styles.  The same process mounting devices, compression fittings, or the bayonets cap and spring assembly, are in the following order number model system description.
Thermocouple wire is duplex insulated, temperature rated to 900oF Except for Type T Assemblies, which are not suitable above 700oF.  These temperatures do not apply to the cold end termination

Standard Junction style is closed and grounded.  Type K has a welded tip.  All the other tips are silver soldered tipped probes for faster response.

Typical rigid tube style Type J thermocouples with quick disconnect plug, the cold end termination, 12 inch X dimension, and dimension of 6 inches for fixed bayonet style.  Process mounting fittings are identified.
