Temperature Sensing Devices

A complete line of standard high temperature thermocouples is available in a selection of ceramic protection tube material and sizes and choice of noble metal calibration material.  An assembly can be chosen for most applications.  To meet special requirements, modified thermocouples can be supplied.

Types of R and S thermocouple assemblies with 

ceramic protection tubes are suitable for high temperatures of up to 1650^oC for short periods or  1480^oC continuously.  Type B is suitable up to 1700^oC, with Platinel II suitable to 1260^oC.  Other thermocouples are available for higher temperatures.  The Tungsten, 5% Rhenium-Tungsten, 26% Rhenium thermocouple construction available in this bulletin is limited to temperatures of 1700^oC.
